Have TDP-JSP Lies Been Exposed by RBI Data?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Amaravati, Dec 23 (NationPress) The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, remarked on Tuesday that the deceptions propagated by TDP and JSP have been revealed through the information published by the RBI, detailing the state's achievements in the manufacturing and industrial sectors from 2019 to 2024.
The president of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) stated that since taking office, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP) have continuously claimed that the brand of Andhra Pradesh has been tarnished due to the YSRCP government, alleging that investors have fled the state and that industrial progress has stagnated during the YSRCP administration.
“If these assertions held any truth, then the performance of Andhra Pradesh in manufacturing and industry would be dismal. However, the statistics tell a vastly different story,” said Jagan Mohan Reddy in a message on ‘X’.
The former CM emphasized the figures released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) this month, which showed that in terms of Gross Value Added (GVA), Andhra Pradesh ranked first in South India and fifth nationally in the manufacturing sector during the 2019-24 period.
In addition, the growth in the industrial sector saw Andhra Pradesh achieving the top position in South India and eighth place in India during the same timeframe.
“Is this the decline of Brand AP or a thriving economy due to transformative leadership?” he queried.
Meanwhile, YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu sharply criticized Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, asserting that his recent addresses are peculiar, aggressive, and puzzling, oriented not towards governance but towards shielding Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He noted that Pawan Kalyan begins with excessive theatrics, becomes irritated midway, and concludes in utter disarray, leading to confusion for both himself and the audience.
Ambati Rambabu condemned the Deputy CM for his use of threatening and offensive language against the YSRCP and its leadership, despite the party not attacking him in any way, questioning why such “rowdy language” is employed by someone in a constitutional role.
He claimed that Pawan Kalyan’s sudden and repeated assaults stem from fear, as the YSRCP has made it clear that those involved in the government medical colleges privatization scandal will face justice through lawful investigations when the party regains power.
He accused Chandrababu Naidu of attempting to privatize government medical colleges—valuable public assets intended for the underprivileged—and handing them over to his close allies, a move that has sparked a significant public backlash, with over one crore individuals signing against the decision and petitions being submitted to the Governor.
He questioned whether Pawan Kalyan himself is implicated in this scandal, implying that his hostility suggests personal involvement.
