New Delhi, Jan 6 (NationPress) - realme, the leading smartphone brand among the youth in India, announced the Photography Awards 2026 on Tuesday, showcasing its dedication to empowering young artists through top-tier mobile imaging technology.

This year's competition will feature a prestigious panel of judges, including Chase Xu, Chief Marketing Officer of realme, esteemed portrait photographer Zhou Run, street photographer Liao Yakun, European photographer and director Simon Bramann, and Indian visual artist Roshni Shah.

During the announcement, realme introduced the next phase of the Photography Awards for the realme 16 Pro Series under the theme “Real Celebrating Moments.”

This new phase encourages creators to capture moments of joy, reunion, and significant life events that reflect genuine experiences. The submission window is open from January 6 to March 20, allowing entries through a simple application process on the realme Photography Awards website.

Participants can effortlessly submit their applications via the realme Photos app with a one-click feature.

“At realme, photography is about people and their stories, not merely images. The Photography Awards exist to honor real narratives, genuine emotions, and the creators behind each photograph,” stated Francis Wong, Chief Marketing Officer of realme India.

“With the Photography Awards 2026, we aim to provide young creators a platform to share their true perspectives while also celebrating the exceptional work from the previous phase that embodied the essence of authentic visual storytelling,” Wong further remarked.

Initially launched as a community-driven initiative, the realme Photography Awards were designed to celebrate honest storytelling through everyday visuals. The last edition attracted thousands of submissions from across India, illustrating real emotions and diverse narratives from budding photographers.

“As we embark on the next chapter of the realme Photography Awards, I am eager to see how creators interpret genuine moments from their lives. The most impactful images stem from daily experiences and sincere viewpoints. Mobile photography allows these moments to be captured effortlessly, giving young creators the confidence to tell their stories in their unique voices,” expressed Roshni Shah, a jury member and visual artist.

During the event, realme also recognized the winners from the first phase of the Photography Awards.

The Best Work Award was awarded to Pralay Jana for his exceptional composition, lighting, and compelling storytelling.

The Most Popular Award went to Rohit Pawane for garnering the highest engagement and admiration from the community.

The Most Creative Award was given to Arghadeep Chinya, celebrated for his innovative and imaginative visual approach.
