New Delhi, Feb 20 (NationPress) Rekha Gupta took her oath of office and secrecy from Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Thursday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior NDA ministers, and several Chief Ministers from BJP-governed states in attendance. Gupta has now become the fourth BJP Chief Minister in Delhi and the fourth female CM of the national capital.
Her Council of Ministers also took their oaths at Ramlila Maidan and will soon receive their respective portfolios. The council includes Parvesh Singh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh.
Rekha Gupta’s team is set to swiftly start their responsibilities following the handover of their departments.
However, the makeup of Gupta's Cabinet has garnered significant attention due to its representation from various communities, underscoring the BJP’s strategic caste and regional considerations during the vigorous campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections.

Parvesh Singh Verma: A two-time BJP MP who emerged victorious against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency. He is a notable Jat leader and the offspring of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa: Recognized as a leading Sikh face for the BJP in the national capital, he has been vocal about Sikh community issues. He won the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections from Rajouri Garden. Before joining the BJP, he was part of Shiromani Akali Dal.
Kapil Mishra: A prominent figure who won decisively in the Karawal Nagar constituency. Son of former East Delhi Mayor Annapurna Mishra, he joined the BJP in 2019 after parting ways with AAP. He gained notoriety during the anti-CAA protests in 2020.
