Gurugram, April 28 (NationPress) Renu Bhatia, Chairperson of the Haryana State Commission for Women, conducted a thorough examination of the facilities available at the One Stop Centre situated in Civil Lines on Monday. This Centre is dedicated to offering immediate refuge for women facing harassment.

During her inspection, Bhatia reviewed the online complaint system and the complaint register, engaging with numerous complainants via phone to gather their insights regarding the assistance and follow-up they received from the Centre.

The One Stop Centres are designed to aid women who have experienced violence in both private and public spheres, including within families, communities, and workplaces.

Present at the visit were Pinky Malik, the Centre administrator, and Mukesh, the District Project Officer from the State Women and Child Development Department.

Following her evaluation, Bhatia highlighted that it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for these One Stop Centres to be accessible throughout the nation.

She is on a mission to visit all One Stop Centres in Haryana to assess the services offered to women.

Bhatia emphasized that her goal is to ensure that all cases reported to the One Stop Centre are addressed within four months.

"To facilitate this, meetings are ongoing with the Deputy Commissioners of every district and senior officials from the police department to expedite complaint resolutions," she noted.

She mentioned that new forms and enhancements have been introduced by the National Commission for Women.

Efforts are underway to apply these changes across all 22 districts in Haryana.

As part of this initiative, a meeting of the heads of all 22 One Stop Centres, protection officers, and relevant personnel from the Women and Child Development Department will take place in Faridabad on May 9.

During this meeting, discussions will revolve around implementing the new suggestions and facilities proposed by the Commission at the One Stop Centre.

Bhatia urged the Centre Incharge to routinely assess the services provided at the One Stop Centre.

"If women encounter any issues, they should be addressed without delay. The One Stop Centre is established to offer immediate support to women facing harassment, and there should be no room for negligence in service delivery," she asserted.
