Mumbai, July 1 (NationPress) Actor Rohit Saraf has made significant strides in his career, transitioning from supporting roles in films like Dear Zindagi and The Sky Is Pink to capturing audiences' hearts as Rishi Singh Shekhawat in Netflix's Mismatched.
While many emerging actors create a divide between OTT platforms and cinema, Saraf adopts a more inclusive perspective.
He believes that both mediums play a crucial role in his artistic development.
Expressing his thoughts, Saraf stated: “I’ve been fortunate. OTT has provided me with both connection and recognition, while films are challenging me in new ways and offering a broader canvas.”
“However, I truly don’t see it as one versus the other. For me, it’s always about the stories that resonate with people, irrespective of the medium,” he elaborated.
In another exciting project, Saraf is collaborating with the esteemed Dharma Productions for Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari, featuring stars like Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.
Produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta, the film will also include Sanya Malhotra, Abhinav Sharma, Maniesh Paul, and Manini Chadha in crucial roles.
Additionally, Saraf is set to appear in Varun's film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
This much-anticipated drama, directed by Varun's father, David Dhawan, features a stellar ensemble cast including Mrunal Thakur, Mouni Roy, Chunkey Panday, Pooja Hegde, Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Rakesh Bedi, Ali Asgar, Kubbra Sait, Rajeev Khandelwal, Nitish Nirmal, and Sreeleela, among others.
The title Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is rumored to be inspired by the iconic song Ishq Sona Hai from David's 1999 hit Biwi No.1, featuring Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen.
Prior to this, Saraf made his theatrical debut as a lead in the upcoming film Ishq Vishk Rebound set for release in 2024.
He is steadily evolving from the charming boy next door to a prominent figure in Bollywood.
