Ayodhya, Nov 25 (NationPress) Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), addressed the crowd at the flag hoisting ceremony for the Ram Temple on Tuesday, stating that this event signifies the culmination of centuries of dedication, struggle, and sacrifice by numerous saints, activists, and devoted followers.

He remarked that the spirits of those who committed their lives to the Ram Temple initiative, such as Ashok Singhal, Saint Paramhans Chandra Das, and industrialist Vijay Sankeshwar Dalmia, would surely have found solace today.

“The temple’s construction is complete, and the flag of Ram Rajya, which once graced Ayodhya and enlightened the world, has once again been raised high for all to see,” he noted.

Bhagwat elaborated on the significance of the Orchid tree (Kovidar -- Bauhinia purpurea), illustrated on the Ram Rajya flag as a symbol of the Raghukul dynasty. He explained that the tree represents generosity, sacrifice, and welfare“standing in the sun while providing shade, fruits, and happiness to others.” This principle has been the foundation of the Raghukul’s vitality and life philosophy.

The RSS chief emphasized that the endeavor to create an India that provides shelter to the world has commenced, urging everyone to act with determination even in challenging times.

He stated that true resolve is achieved through Satva (inner purity and strength). “A chariot is driven by seven horses and reins, but without the rope and charioteer, it cannot advance. However, the Sun moves reliably from east to west. This illustrates the potency of Satva. For 550 years, Hindu society has exemplified this Satva, and today Ram Lala resides in a grand temple. This is not merely a building, but the victory of patience, endurance, and unwavering conviction,” he elaborated.

“Today is a moment to reaffirm our commitment. The world anticipates us to forge an India that spreads joy and tranquility to all. It is our responsibility to expedite this mission in the name of Ram Lala.”

As the Dharma Dhwaj was raised above the Shri Ram Temple, the main thoroughfares of the city, including Dharmapath, resonated with chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, while thousands congregated at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk to witness the live broadcast of the event.

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the flag, the audience erupted in emotional cheers. Devotees from nearby districts such as Sultanpur, Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, and Barabanki, along with individuals from across Northern India, flocked to Ayodhya.
