New Delhi, March 27 (NationPress) The esteemed Saraswati Samman 2024, awarded by the K.K. Birla Foundation, will be presented to the distinguished Sanskrit scholar Mahamhopadhyay Sadhu Bhadreshdas for his exceptional work titled Swaminarayana Siddhanta Sudha in Sanskrit.

This decision was reached during a session of the Saraswati Samman Chayan Parishad, led by Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri (Retd).

The council consists of notable members such as Prof Ramdeo Shukla, Dr Buddhi Nath Mishra, Dr Kiran Budkuley, Dr C. Mrunalini, Prof Kalidas Misra, Prof Lalit Mangotra, Maalan Narayanan, Prof Milind Govindrao Joshi, Dr Manabendra Mukhopadhyay, Vijay Verma, Priyavrat Bhartia, and Dr Suresh Rituparna, the Director of the K.K. Birla Foundation.

Sadhu Bhadreshdas, a globally recognized Sanskrit scholar and an ordained monk of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), was born on December 12, 1966, in Nanded, Maharashtra.

With a remarkable academic background, including an M.A., Ph.D., D.Litt., and an honorary Doctor of Science from IIT Kharagpur, he is celebrated as a prominent figure in Indian philosophy.

His significant efforts in safeguarding and promoting India's traditional Vedic knowledge system in contemporary times have earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR).
