Ahmedabad, Sep 29 (NationPress) In a groundbreaking achievement, Mahamahopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami, a revered scholar-saint of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, has been awarded the prestigious Saraswati Samman 2024 for his significant Sanskrit work ‘Swaminarayan Siddhant Sudha’. This marks a historic first, as he is the initial saint to receive this accolade in the award's history, and it is also the first Sanskrit work to be honored in 22 years.
The Saraswati Samman, established in 1991 by the K.K. Birla Foundation, is widely regarded as one of the most esteemed awards in Indian literature.
The award ceremony took place at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Shahibaug, attended by dignitaries including Governor Acharya Devvrat, Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri (Chairman of the Selection Committee), university vice-chancellors, and thousands of devoted followers.
