Mumbai, Feb 3 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan made his first public appearance after returning home following a knife attack on him.

The actor was spotted at a luxurious hotel in the Juhu locality of Mumbai on Monday for a Netflix event. He was dressed in a denim shirt and pants, appearing relaxed with a noticeable moustache.

Saif attended the trailer launch for his upcoming streaming project ‘Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins’, where he stars alongside Jaideep Ahlawat. Saif is expected to portray the lead role in this title.

Recently, Saif was the victim of an assault when an intruder broke into his Bandra home through his youngest son Jeh’s room in the early hours of Thursday. Reports indicate that the actor independently sought medical attention, accompanied by his son Taimur.

According to media sources, medical professionals extracted a 2.5-inch knife from his injuries. The actor endured multiple stab wounds while attempting to fend off the assailant. He suffered six stab wounds, two of which were deemed critical due to their proximity to his spine. The attack occurred when the intruder reportedly entered their Bandra residence, assaulting the household staff before targeting Saif.

Saif was alerted by disturbances in his son Jeh’s room. Upon entering, he witnessed the assailant in an altercation with their house help. In a bid to protect the staff member, Saif intervened with his bare hands to confront the intruder.

Previously, the Association of Medical Consultants Mumbai raised significant concerns regarding the insurance claim process related to this incident.

The Association has formally contacted the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), questioning the expedited approval of claims involving a high-profile celebrity.
