Mumbai, Jan 15 (NationPress) Ektaa Kapoor recently made headlines when she criticized well-known television actor Ram Kapoor for his comments regarding a kissing scene in their series Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. Actor and producer Sandiip Sickand has now shared his perspective on the ongoing controversy.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, he stated, "To be honest, I am not fully informed about this. I did see Ektaa's post but was unaware of whom she was referring to. If you’re telling me it's about Ram Kapoor, I’m not sure. I haven’t followed his recent interviews. My experience working with Ram Kapoor in Kasam Se was excellent. However, I believe Ektaa speaks when it's necessary, and her comments usually pertain to significant issues. So, it's best to ask her directly whom she is addressing. I genuinely have no clue."

When asked whether he thinks it's suitable for actors to critique their past performances or decisions years later, he replied, "I wasn't involved in Bade Ache Lagte Hain. I participated in the show for only about 2 to 3 months, and I was not present during the time the consummation was discussed. Consequently, I can't comment. As I mentioned earlier, I haven't seen Ram Kapoor's interview, so I'm completely in the dark. However, if we talk generally, I believe an actor's role is to act. Each party involved – the producer, director, creative director, dialogue writer, and story writer – has their responsibilities, and they should be allowed to fulfill their roles. If you've committed to a show based on someone’s vision, you need to trust that vision throughout the process. In our time in Bajali, Ektaa would tell us a story, and we would get excited about it, thinking, 'Wow! This is amazing!' and we would go along with it. Thus, conviction is paramount, and if you’ve placed your belief in a producer’s hands by saying, 'Yes, I am taking this role because I love it,' then you should continue to have faith in them.
