Chandigarh, Jan 10 (NationPress) Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, announced on Saturday that a Sessions Division will be established shortly in Hansi, Haryana.
“With Hansi being recognized as the 23rd district of the state, this initiative will offer a crucial facility for the people of Hansi. The Sessions Division will significantly enhance access to justice for the community,” he articulated.
Justice Kant made these remarks while addressing judicial officers, lawyers, and esteemed guests as the Chief Guest during the inauguration of the Sub-Divisional Court and the foundation stone ceremony for the Sub-Divisional Judicial Complex in Narnaund.
Present at the event were Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, State Public Health Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Cooperation Minister Arvind Sharma, and Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Sheel Nagu.
Justice Kant expressed that the establishment of the Sub-Divisional Court in Narnaund is a matter of great pride.
Reassuring the populace, he highlighted that the judiciary is devoted to bringing justice to the doorsteps of every underprivileged individual. “The Constitution ensures equal access to justice for all citizens, and the judiciary is diligently working to make justice achievable and accessible, particularly for the marginalized,” he stated.
He urged judicial officers and advocates to prioritize restoring public confidence in the justice system and ensuring timely justice. He emphasized that advocates serve as vigilant guardians of justice and must consistently uphold the ethics and values of the Bar.
Highlighting the necessity to adapt to modern challenges, he encouraged lawyers to develop their technical expertise in this fast-evolving technological landscape and stay informed about judicial developments.
Justice Kant insisted that judicial officers and advocates should tackle pending cases with a constructive, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
It is important to note that over Rs 21 crore will be allocated for the construction of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Complex, which will span 1.79 acres.
