Mumbai, June 9 (NationPress) With summer vacations in full swing, the thrill of returning to school after an extended break is something we can all resonate with.
Actor Sheel Verma, currently portraying Jaiveer in the series "Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain", fondly reflected on his delightful childhood memories.
Looking back, Sheel shared, “I vividly remember playing cricket during our summer holidays. We would be on the field until sunset, and even then, it was tough to leave. My mother often had to call me several times before I finally went home, covered in dust and beaming with joy.”
“My cousins and I would discover hidden spots in our neighborhood, climb trees, and create our own games. Amidst all the fun, I typically only started my vacation homework when the summer break was nearing its end,” he added.
However, summer signifies more than just a hiatus from academics; it also heralds the preparation for a new academic year. “Once June arrived, there was an unmistakable excitement in the air. I used to go shopping with my father for a new tiffin box, school uniform, books, a raincoat, and rainy footwear,” Sheel recalled.
The actor further expressed that while he felt a tinge of sadness as the holidays concluded, the return to school was filled with joy because it meant -
reuniting with friends after a long time, and of course, showcasing new stationery. “Walking to school in the rain with my friends was one of the happiest moments of my life. Even today, reminiscing about those times brings a wide smile to my face. If given the chance, I would relive those days wholeheartedly.”
