Mumbai, July 12 (NationPress) R Madhavan is an actor known for his ability to embody any character seamlessly, and his recent film, “Aap Jaisa Koi,” showcases this talent once more.
This film holds sentimental value for Madhavan as a significant portion was filmed in his hometown, Jamshedpur, Bihar. During the project, the 'Tanu Weds Manu' star took a trip down memory lane by visiting his old school, which stirred some difficult memories.
Reflecting on this experience, Madhavan shared that stepping back into the school environment reignited feelings of uncertainty about his future that he experienced as a student.
"Upon entering my alma mater, I was flooded with memories of the self-doubt I faced regarding my future. Up until the 8th or 9th grade, we were carefree, but soon after, anxiety about achieving success loomed over me. I was reminded of the challenges and stress we endured during our final school years," he recounted.
However, Madhavan noted that what felt like overwhelming life challenges at the time have transformed into mere stepping stones on his life journey.
"Looking back, I realized my fears were unfounded—life has a way of unfolding beautifully. When I struggled to pass the IIT entrance exam, my parents feared my future was bleak. Those once daunting issues feel trivial now," he shared.
"Life invariably has something better in store for you," Madhavan concluded.
Directed by Vivek Soni, “Aap Jaisa Koi” features Fatima Sana Shaikh in the leading role.
The film narrates an unconventional love story between Shrirenu Tripathi (played by Madhavan), a reserved middle-aged Sanskrit professor, and Madhu Bose (portrayed by Fatima), an enthusiastic French teacher.
Produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment, “Aap Jaisa Koi” premiered on Netflix on July 11.
