Bengaluru, Oct 27 (NationPress) The Home Minister of Karnataka, G. Parameshwara, expressed on Monday that Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has demonstrated exceptional performance, making him incomparable to others.
“At this moment, no one can match Shivakumar within the party. He possesses extraordinary talents. We refrain from making any comments ourselves as the high command will ultimately make the decision regarding leadership, and we will respect that,” stated the state Home Minister.
Parameshwara emphasized that the Congress leader is prepared to accept any decisions made by the high command.
Regarding Shivakumar's visit to Delhi set for November 11, which will coincide with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s trip, Parameshwara mentioned that he is unable to comment on the developments within the party.
Additionally, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah plans to host a lunch for leaders on November 1.
Parameshwara remarked that November 1 marks Kannada Rajyotsava, while responding to the lunch invitation, adding that even simple events are being subjected to criticism.
“This day is celebrated annually. If Siddaramaiah invites leaders to commemorate the event, it is inappropriate to analyze it politically,” he noted.
When asked about a potential cabinet reshuffle, Parameshwara indicated that he does not possess any information regarding such changes.
On the topic of a Dalit Chief Minister for Karnataka, Parameshwara stated that the party high command will also address this issue.
On Sunday, Shivakumar arrived in Delhi, with sources suggesting he will engage with national leaders to discuss state developments and the forthcoming Bihar elections.
