Chennai, Oct 4 (NationPress) Shobu Yarlagadda, one of the key producers behind the pan-Indian blockbuster ‘Baahubali’, has extended his heartfelt gratitude to director S S Rajamouli and his dedicated team for their hard work in the post-production of ‘Baahubali - The Epic’. He emphasized that with Rajamouli and his crew, there are truly no half measures.

Recently, Yarlagadda shared an update via a tweet on his X timeline, where he mentioned that Rajamouli was diligently applying the finishing touches and editing the final trims of Baahubali - The Epic. He wrote, “Editing has been one of the most challenging tasks of making this version! #BaahubaliTheEpic #BaahubaliTheEpicOnOct31st.”

In response to a media outlet that highlighted his tweet, suggesting that Rajamouli was working on the film as if it were a fresh release, Yarlagadda replied, “Absolutely, with @ssrajamouli and the entire team @BaahubaliMovie, there are no half measures! When we do something, we go all the way and try to provide you with the very best we can! My heartfelt thanks to the team for treating 'The Epic' like a new film! They are working for the pride of it! #BaahubaliTheEpic #BaahubaliTheEpicOnOct31st.”

For those who may not know, ‘Baahubali - The Epic’ will combine both parts of the spectacular ‘Baahubali’ franchise. To commemorate the film’s 10-year anniversary, the creators have decided to release a single film amalgamating both parts on October 31 this year.

‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, the first installment of the two-part franchise directed by S S Rajamouli and starring actors Prabhas, Rana Daggubatti, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah, hit theaters on July 10, 2015, and broke multiple box office records, emerging as a monumental blockbuster.

Yarlagadda was the first to hint at the movie's re-release this October, saying, “I am thrilled to inform you all that we are planning an Indian and international re-release of @BaahubaliMovie in October this year. It won't just be a re-release; it will be a year of celebration for our beloved fans! Expect nostalgia, new reveals, and a few epic surprises along the way. ‘Baahubali 2’, the sequel to this immensely popular franchise, was released in over 9,000 screens worldwide in 2017.

This film was produced on a grand budget of Rs 250 crore and grossed over ₹1800 crores globally, establishing itself as the highest-grossing Indian film ever. It also made history as the first Indian film to surpass the ₹1000 crore milestone in collections. As of 2025, Baahubali 2 remains the highest-grossing film in India.

In addition to its box office success, the film received widespread critical acclaim, winning numerous awards at both the national and international levels. It secured three National Awards for Best Stunt Choreography, Best Special Effects, and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 65th National Film Awards, and also clinched the Saturn Award for Best International Film at the 44th Saturn Awards.
