He further added, “In this hour of grief, I stand with the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones and express my deepest condolences to them. I hope for the swift recovery of all the injured.”

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi labeled the incident as “heartbreaking,” saying, “May God grant peace to the departed souls. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the swift recovery of those injured.”
The explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station has created panic throughout the national capital, prompting authorities in the Delhi-NCR area, as well as Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai, to issue a high alert.
In a related note, the J&K Police had earlier dismantled an inter-state transnational terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, recovering 2,900 kg of explosives along with assault rifles, pistols, timers, and other materials in the Faridabad area of Haryana, close to New Delhi. Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with this case thus far.
According to the J&K Police, this operation was initiated following the discovery of Jaish-e-Mohammad posters in Bunpora Nowgam, Srinagar, on October 19, which threatened police and security personnel.
This seizure, coinciding with the explosion at the Red Fort, comes just a day before the second phase of the Bihar assembly elections.
