Mumbai, Aug 9 (NationPress) On the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan this Saturday, actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood extended heartfelt wishes to his sisters, whom he affectionately refers to as his “forever safe space”. He expressed that this bond will always be his strongest thread.
Sonu took to Instagram to share two cherished photos with his sisters Monika and Malvika.
In his post, he wrote: “Happy Raksha Bandhan, Monika & Malvika! From teasing each other to rescuing one another from difficult situations, and from sharing sweets to exchanging secrets, our childhood is filled with memories that continue to bring a smile to my face.”
“You both have been my accomplices in mischief, my greatest supporters, and my forever safe place. Today, I want to express my gratitude for having you as my sisters. Regardless of where life leads us, this bond will always be my strongest thread. I love you both more than words can convey,” he added.
Last month, as he celebrated his 52nd birthday, Sonu announced the opening of an old-age home meant to accommodate 500 senior citizens. This initiative aims to create a safe, dignified, and nurturing environment for elderly individuals lacking family support.
In addition to providing shelter, the home will offer medical care, nutritious meals, and emotional support for the elderly.
On the professional front, Sonu recently appeared in the action thriller film Fateh, which he wrote and directed. The film features actors Naseeruddin Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.
The plot revolves around Fateh, an ex-agent who returns from a peaceful life to dismantle a dangerous cyber mafia syndicate after a local girl falls victim and goes missing.
He is also set to star in Madha Gaja Raja, a Tamil film directed by Sundar C. The movie features Vishal in the lead role, alongside Santhanam, Anjali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sonu Sood, Manivannan, Subbaraju, Nithin Sathya, Sadagoppan Ramesh, Munna Simon, and John Kokken.
