New Delhi, Jan 16 (NationPress) A tragic incident occurred on Sindhu Farm Road in the Jaitpur police station area of southeast Delhi, where a 21-year-old man was fatally stabbed, according to police reports released on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Krishna Sahu, who lived on Shukra Bazar Road, Hari Nagar Extension.

Authorities from Jaitpur Police Station have successfully detained two suspects, including a juvenile, related to this brutal stabbing that unfolded late Thursday night (January 15), leading to one fatality and injuries to two others.

As per police information, a PCR call was made at approximately 11:18 p.m. on January 15, reporting a physical assault at Dharamshala Road, Jaitpur. A police team promptly arrived at the scene to discover three individuals wounded from sharp weapon attacks.

Initial investigations indicate that the violence arose from a personal dispute between two groups concerning a mutual acquaintance. The primary suspect, identified as Deepak, was allegedly harassing the complainant, Prince (19), via social media before the incident.

Under the guise of a 'reconciliation meeting', the victims were summoned to meet the opposing group around 11:00 p.m.. However, a verbal altercation erupted, quickly escalating into a violent confrontation. The assailants reportedly attacked the victims with knives before fleeing the scene.

Krishna Sahu suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest, shoulder, and back. He was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where medical staff declared him dead upon arrival. Another victim, Sunny (21), is currently receiving treatment for stab wounds to the abdomen and thigh, while Prince (19) sustained minor injuries.

The crime scene was thoroughly examined by forensic experts, who collected crucial evidence. A case has been registered under the relevant legal sections.

Following an expedited investigation that included reviewing CCTV footage and forensic data, police apprehended Aashish (24), a graphic designer from Meethapur village, alongside a 17-year-old juvenile.

Authorities are actively pursuing additional suspects involved in the incident.

On the same day, two other individuals were stabbed to death in separate incidents across Delhi, with law enforcement actively investigating both cases.

In one of these incidents, a notorious criminal was stabbed to death in the Kalyanpuri area of East Delhi. The victim, identified as Mukesh, approximately 40 years old, was found lying in a pool of blood near a public toilet in Block-18 of Kalyanpuri. He was transported to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

East District Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Dhania confirmed that a murder case has been filed. He noted, "The police are working to identify the attackers using CCTV footage from the area," while also interviewing family members of the deceased to understand the circumstances leading to the incident.

Mukesh's wife, Monica, informed authorities that he left home after dinner around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and they received news about an hour later that he had been found injured near the public toilet.

Mukesh's uncle, Raju, stated that the family was informed he had been stabbed and taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He expressed the family's desire for stringent legal action against the perpetrators.

In another separate incident, a 23-year-old man named Ranjan was fatally stabbed on Wednesday night in the JJ Colony area of Bawana in North Delhi.

These recent tragedies follow a series of violent stabbings that occurred on New Year's Eve, where three individuals were killed in rapid succession across Delhi's Adarsh Nagar, Mongolpuri, and Sultanpuri areas. The victims included a tailor, a rickshaw driver, and a 15-year-old boy, raising serious concerns regarding street violence in the national capital.
