New Delhi, Jan 31 (NationPress) On Saturday, Delhi-NCR experienced a shocking series of three stabbing incidents, including a tragic double murder in Khora, Uttar Pradesh, and the fatal stabbing of a 25-year-old man in Shastri Park, North East Delhi. This alarming rise in violent crimes has sparked serious concerns among residents.

The first incident, a double murder, occurred in the Azad Vihar area of Khora, under the jurisdiction of the Uttar Pradesh Police. Preliminary reports indicate that three friends ventured out to grab food, but a dispute erupted with the owner of the eatery over their order.

After initially leaving, the tension flared again when the group returned to the establishment, resulting in a violent altercation involving knives.

Tragically, two young men, identified as Satyam and Shripal, succumbed to their injuries. A third individual, Angrag, sustained serious injuries and was taken to GTB Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Authorities have stated that a thorough investigation is in progress to clarify the events and pinpoint all individuals involved in this violent episode.

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed in DDA Park in Shastri Park, which falls under the New Usmanpur police station jurisdiction. According to police reports, they received a call in the early morning about an unconscious man in the park. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a young male with multiple stab wounds.

The crime scene was immediately secured, and forensic experts were called to gather evidence. The body was subsequently taken for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Senior police officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, along with Station House Officers from the nearby police stations, conducted a meticulous inspection of the area.

Authorities reported that the deceased has yet to be identified. A case has been filed under relevant legal sections at New Usmanpur police station, and multiple teams have been assigned to identify the victim and apprehend the perpetrator. Investigations are ongoing.

In detail, police provided information stating that on January 31, 2026, during morning hours, they received a report regarding a body lying in DDA Park, Shastri Park. When they arrived, they found the body of a male approximately 25 years old. The forensic team collected evidence from the scene, and efforts are underway to analyze CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify suspects.

A park guard, Vijayant Kumar, informed IANS that he discovered the incident during his routine patrols early in the morning.

“Upon my round, I noticed the scene and attempted to contact the police, but there was no immediate response. I thought of calling again after ten minutes, but by then another guard had already alerted the police. They arrived quickly, examined the area, and took the necessary steps,” he said.

A local resident expressed his concern regarding the deteriorating safety conditions in the area.

“I have lived here for a long time. My wife is a teacher, and I drop her off for work each morning. The environment has become so tense that even law-abiding citizens feel unsafe. When I arrived this morning, I saw police personnel and later noticed a slipper and muffler at the scene, which are believed to belong to the victim,” he shared.

These incidents are part of a disturbing trend, as stabbing cases in Delhi-NCR have surged significantly over recent weeks.

On January 30, Delhi Police apprehended five minors for allegedly stabbing a 27-year-old man near Shastri Nagar Metro Station on January 26, following a dispute over a photograph of one of the accused's relatives.

Additionally, on January 28, a 21-year-old man was fatally stabbed following a minor disagreement about lighting a cigarette in the Vasant Kunj area of South-West Delhi.

Previously, on January 22, Delhi Police confirmed that the suspects involved in the Mangolpuri stabbing incident on January 21, which resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man, had been identified and captured. In that case, a man named Akash was stabbed to death on January 21, with the incident recorded on CCTV, aiding in the identification of the culprits. DCP (Outer) Sachin Sharma stated, “The police have identified the offenders, filed a case, and are pursuing further investigations.”
