Chennai, July 29 (NationPress) In a spectacular display of skill, Jammu & Kashmir, Hockey Association of Bihar, Hockey Uttarakhand, Hockey Bengal, Hockey Gujarat, and Kerala Hockey claimed impressive victories during Day 2 of the 15th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship held here on Tuesday.
The day commenced with Jammu & Kashmir narrowly defeating Le Puducherry Hockey 1–0 in a Pool A match from Division ‘C’. The captain, Prabvir Singh Bali, netted the decisive goal in the 53rd minute, ensuring a hard-fought victory for his team.
In the next match, the Hockey Association of Bihar showcased a dominant performance, annihilating Tripura with a staggering score of 19–0 in Pool B of Division ‘C’. Deepu Vishwakarma started the goal frenzy early on in the 3rd minute. Satyam Kumar Pande (5’, 40’, 60’) and Amritanshu Pandey (36’, 42’, 43’, 47’) both achieved hat-tricks, while other goals were scored by Raj Pandey (8’, 13’, 33’), Nikhil Navin Kumar (8’, 26’), Laksh Kumar (16’), Suman Kumar (29’, 58’, 60’), Chhotu Kumar (49’), and Ranjan Ashish (50’).
In a Pool B clash of Division ‘C’, Hockey Uttarakhand triumphed over Hockey Mizoram with a score of 5–1.
