Mumbai, Sep 13 (NationPress) Actor Sushant Singh candidly reflected on the trials and triumphs of his career, highlighting the necessity of remaining grounded in reality and resisting the allure of social media approval.
With a diverse filmography that features well-known titles like Satya, Kaun, Jungle, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Rakht Charitra, and popular series such as Rana Naidu, Bindiya Ke Bahubali, and IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, Sushant reminisced about his journey, describing it as filled with “ups and downs”.
“Everyone experiences highs and lows. During those low times, it can be overwhelming. You feel frustrated and down. However, when I reflect on my entire journey, including the challenges, it’s exhilarating because those experiences add flavor to my story,” Sushant shared with IANS.
He further emphasized the inherent challenges that come with fame: “You have to manage your expenses. The admiration from fans isn’t enough; you still have bills to pay.”
Despite being an active social media user, Sushant maintains a healthy perspective on validation.
“In my view, it can be quite addictive. Social media can lead you to a distorted reality. You might feel like you’ve reached a divine status. It’s crucial to remember that this is merely a virtual space,” he cautioned.
He added: “Your true friends and genuine critics are the ones who know you personally—those at home, your colleagues, and true admirers. Everything else is ephemeral and can fade away.”
His latest project, Bindiya Ke Bahubali, features actors like Saurabh Shukla, Ranvir Shorey, Seema Biswas, and Sheeba Chaddha.
This series delves into the consequences following the arrest of a mafia leader during an election, igniting a fierce struggle for power and legacy in the fictional town of Bindiya, India, as Bada Davan is detained and his ambitious son, Chhote Davan, strives for control.
