New Delhi, Oct 1 (NationPress) Tata Communications has officially revealed the triumphant introduction of its digital infrastructure solutions, which are designed to bolster Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) recently initiated eSIM services. The eSIM services are powered by Tata Communications’ GSMA-accredited eSIM Subscription Management platform, 'MOVE', which is delivered through its fully owned subsidiary, Tata Communications Collaboration Services Private Limited, as per the statement.
This innovative platform will empower BSNL to streamline eSIM provisioning for mobile subscribers across India, significantly enhancing the nation's next-generation connectivity. BSNL's eSIMs, fueled by Tata Communications MOVE, will facilitate remote provisioning of 2G/3G/4G connectivity services through a secure QR code, thereby eliminating the necessity for a physical SIM, as highlighted in the release.
The introduction of BSNL’s eSIM services marks a substantial advancement toward improving customer experiences and future-proofing mobile connectivity in India, offering enhanced convenience, flexibility, and security in cellular services, stated Tata Communications.
Additionally, users with dual-SIM capable devices can utilize an eSIM alongside a physical SIM, allowing for secure connections with local operators while traveling internationally.
“The launch of the Pan-India eSIM service signifies a strategic leap in our national telecom capabilities. With Tata Communications’ robust connectivity expertise and innovative foresight, we are amplifying the flexibility, security, and efficiency of mobile services for citizens throughout India,” remarked A Robert Ravi, Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL.
The Tata Communications MOVE platform is currently geared towards consumer use; however, it is designed for scalability in enterprise IoT applications, supporting the digital transformation of Indian businesses, according to the statement.
In February, Tata Communications announced a partnership with Microsoft to enhance collaboration and connectivity on Microsoft Teams for enterprises in India.
The Tata Communications GlobalRapide platform will enable both Indian enterprise users and multinationals in the country to effortlessly utilize carrier-grade PSTN voice calls on any Teams device globally by leveraging the Operator Connect platform, as the company stated.
