Hyderabad, Oct 15 (NationPress) Governors and Chief Ministers from the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana gathered on Wednesday to honor the legacy of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer expressed his respect for the Bharat Ratna Abdul Kalam, stating, "Dr. Kalam's foresight for a prosperous and self-sufficient India stemmed from the importance of education, innovation, and empowering the youth."
He was a prominent scientist, educator, author, and articulate speaker whose contributions significantly advanced India's space and missile programs. The Governor remarked that his humility and accomplishments continue to motivate future generations.
Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma also paid his respects to Kalam.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy noted that Abdul Kalam devoted his life to enhancing India's science and technology sectors, earning the title of the "People's President".
