Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Bhopal, March 18 (NationPress) - The Additional Director General of Police, Raja Babu Singh, who leads the training division of the Madhya Pradesh Police, has formally reported a disturbing incident that occurred outside his government residence. The complaint, submitted to the Commissioner of Bhopal Police, details an alarming intrusion that took place early in the morning.
On March 17, the letter notes that between 6:02 a.m. and 6:08 a.m., two unidentified vehicles came to a halt near his residence in sectors 1 and 2 of Boudharm Fountain Pride, located in the Trilanga area of Bhopal. Individuals within these vehicles began to loudly shout abusive remarks, and one young man exited with a stick, brandishing it threateningly while shouting near the premises. Fortunately, a security guard on duty at 6:04 a.m. was able to drive them away.
Despite having private security in the neighborhood, there was a failure to document the vehicle registrations or to take any action against the intruders. Following the incident, the officer promptly reported the matter to the Shahpura police station. Sub Inspector Munshiram Thakur arrived for immediate verification and reviewed CCTV footage from the area, as well as supplementary recordings provided on a pen drive along with the formal complaint, according to police sources.
The ADG has voiced serious concerns, suggesting that this incident could be linked to recent reforms he has implemented in police training under his leadership. Since taking on this role, he has introduced various innovative strategies in training academies, including the incorporation of Sanatan Dharma's eternal human values.
Among these innovations is the recitation of the Ramcharitmanas during training sessions alongside other religious practices. The officer suspects that these initiatives have provoked certain antisocial elements, potentially leading to a conspiracy against him, thereby jeopardizing his personal safety.
In his communication, he has requested a thorough investigation to uncover the entirety of this plot as soon as possible. He insists that the “intruders” be identified, apprehended, and “prosecuted” in accordance with the law.
Additionally, he has called for enhanced security measures for himself, including the assignment of armed guards at his residence during nighttime hours.
Raja Babu Singh, a veteran IPS officer born in Pachnehi village of the Banda district in Uttar Pradesh, is part of the 1994 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He joined the Indian Police Service in 1994 and has previously served with the Border Security Force, recently returning to Madhya Pradesh to assume the crucial position of Additional Director General of Training.
