Chennai, Jan 28 (NationPress) The burgeoning reputation of Tamil Nadu as a dynamic sports powerhouse was prominently showcased on Wednesday when women athletes, who achieved remarkable success in beach volleyball at the Khelo India Beach Games, had the opportunity to meet Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. During this meeting, they were officially acknowledged for their outstanding accomplishments.

In total, eight athletes received financial backing amounting to Rs 7.85 lakh from the Tamil Nadu Champions Trust Fund to assist them in competing on an international level and upgrading essential sports gear.

After the cheque distribution, Tamil Nadu athletes who earned medals in beach volleyball at the Khelo India Beach Games had a formal meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister to express their gratitude.
