Surat, Feb 10 (NationPress) Authorities discovered the lifeless bodies of three family members at their residence in the Lalgate region of Surat on Tuesday morning, according to police reports.

The precise cause of death will be established once the post-mortem examinations and forensic analyses are completed.

The tragic event unfolded in Sauya Sheri, located in the Haripura area. The deceased individuals were identified as Faiz Ahmed Yusuf (36), his spouse Mubina Ahmed (32), and their son Noman Ahmed (13).

Their daughter was away, having spent the night at her grandmother’s home.

As per police statements, the family had returned home late on Monday night. When they received no response the following morning, a relative who had come to escort the child to school forced the door open.

The three were found unresponsive in different rooms and were subsequently pronounced dead.

DCP Raghav Jain noted that foam was observed around the mouths of all three individuals. “There were no evident external injuries on their bodies. The house was secured from the inside, currently indicating no signs of forced entry,” he remarked.

Authorities have dismissed the likelihood of food poisoning at this stage, as the typical physical indicators were absent. “We are investigating all possible scenarios. Blood samples and other forensic evidence have been gathered and dispatched for analysis. The exact cause of death will be confirmed following the post-mortem and viscera reports,” the DCP added.

Family members informed the police that there were no known conflicts within the household. A relative, Farooq Saiyed, stated that the family had just returned from performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia four days prior.

“They had recently completed their pilgrimage. There were no apparent issues between Faiz and his wife. We are perplexed by this situation,” he expressed.

Relatives also revealed that Faiz and his brothers were engaged in the chemical industry in Surat’s Pandesara area and that the family was in good financial standing.

Authorities confirmed that no suicide note or poisonous substances have been discovered at the residence thus far.

The bodies have been transferred to Surat Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Police have initiated an accidental death case and are conducting further investigations to clarify the series of events and circumstances leading to these tragic deaths.
