Agartala, April 25 (NationPress) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, expressing his firm conviction that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decisive measures will function as a robust deterrent against any future efforts by terrorists to harm India.

After attending the 70th Foundation Day celebration of the Deed Writers Association at the Agartala court complex, the Chief Minister spoke to the media, highlighting the national unity that supports Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

“Union Home Minister Amit Shah has already visited the attack location in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, and PM Modi has mandated a series of strict actions, including the removal of Pakistani nationals living in India,” CM Saha stated.

He noted that the government is meticulously executing a five-point action plan, and the outcomes of the Centre’s firm position will be visible shortly.

“The message is unmistakable -- those responsible for such atrocious acts will face repercussions. This will serve as a warning to prevent anyone from daring to commit such atrocities again,” the Chief Minister declared.

He added: “We will neither forget nor forgive the cowardly and brutal assault on innocent tourists in Pahalgam.”

A five-point action plan was established following the April 23 Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting, which included suspending the Indus water treaty, closing the Attari-Wagah border, designating Pakistani military diplomats as persona non-grata, and significantly reducing the mission staff on both sides.

On April 22, twenty-five Indians and one Nepali citizen were brutally killed by heavily armed terrorists supported by Pakistan in Pahalgam’s Baisaran meadows as they unleashed violence on tourists, including both men and women. Several others were injured in the assault.
