Agartala, June 23 (NationPress) Chief Minister Manik Saha announced on Monday that the Tripura government is actively integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all sectors of the state.
Speaking at an event, the Chief Minister emphasized that to achieve superior performance, AI has been implemented in various fields in Tripura.
“I have observed numerous medical students excelling in the health sector, even participating in the Operation Theatre utilizing AI technology. In the past, we depended entirely on textbooks, but now we have access to smart classrooms,” stated CM Saha, who also oversees the Education and Health and Family Welfare departments.
He highlighted the intelligence of the youth in the state and urged them not to migrate abroad.
“As Prime Minister Narendra Modi states, 'those who possess knowledge will govern the country', and knowledge has no boundaries. The youth must stay in India and contribute to the nation's progress,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister revealed plans to establish 30 new schools this financial year, with an investment of Rs 264 crore.
He mentioned that to alleviate exam anxiety, Prime Minister Modi's 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' program focuses on strategies for maintaining calm during assessments.
“Following the PM’s guidance and engaging with students, we have observed a notable decrease in stress levels. I believe such initiatives are rare globally,” he added.
Through the 'Mann-ki-Baat' initiative, he connects with the populace. CM Saha remarked, “The contributions of PM Modi will be recorded in history, and future studies will be dedicated to his legacy.”
Emphasizing self-reliance in learning, CM Saha, a dental surgeon, stated that engaging in physical activities like yoga is highly advantageous for students.
“Regular exercise sharpens the mind. Upon assuming office, PM Modi revitalized ancient practices that were once prevalent in India,” he noted.
He mentioned that the Education Department has implemented several initiatives, including the NCERT curriculum and the 'Super 30' program.
Additionally, bicycles have been distributed to girl students, and approximately 44 schools have received new buildings, he indicated.
CM Saha confirmed that during the 2024–25 financial year, infrastructure improvements were made in about 350 schools, costing Rs 80 crore.
