Agartala, Nov 24 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, on Monday, reiterated the commitment of the state government to uphold transparent recruitment processes and enhance the education and health sectors. Distributing appointment letters to the physical education teachers and special educators at the Muktadhara Auditorium, the Chief Minister emphasized that the BJP-led government has prioritized transparency in government hiring from the outset.
During this event, a total of 102 physical education teachers and 55 special educators from the School Education Department received their appointment letters.
“There can be no claims of needing political connections to secure a government position. If one is qualified, securing employment is absolutely possible,” stated CM Saha.
He highlighted that so far, 20,181 individuals have been employed across various departments, including cases of die-in-harness.
“Out of these, 6,998 appointments have been specifically made in the Education Department for postgraduate teachers (PGT), graduate teachers (GT), and undergraduate teachers (UGT), reflecting the state government’s commitment to bolstering human resources in education,” he remarked.
CM Saha reaffirmed that enhancing the quality of education is a primary focus. “Our objective is to guarantee that students receive quality education in a nurturing, supportive atmosphere. The appearance and demeanor of those receiving appointment letters today indicate they are indeed deserving candidates,” he noted.
The Chief Minister also mentioned various initiatives under the National Education Policy, introduced under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, designed to revitalize India's traditional educational values.
He revealed that over 5,000 individuals have been appointed via contractual and outsourcing methods.
Detailing state-level educational reforms, CM Saha cited initiatives like Nipun Tripura, CM Saath, Mission Mukul, and Saharsha, along with the transformation of 125 schools into Vidya Jyoti institutions and 84 into PM-Shri schools.
The state has also initiated the CM Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana to empower female students, as stated by the Chief Minister.
“Tripura’s higher education sector has significantly expanded, now featuring three medical colleges, nursing colleges, Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery and General Nursing and Midwifery colleges, along with Agriculture, Fishery, and Veterinary colleges, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, a National Law University, a National Forensic Science University, National Institutes of Technology, and numerous private universities. Under the Target Project, 10 aspirants have already received support to compete in national-level examinations,” he added.
Prominent officials present at the ceremony included Special Secretary of Education Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Director of School Education N.C. Sharma, Director of Basic Education Rajiv Dutta, and Director of the State Council of Educational Research and Training L. Darlong.
