Sydney, Jan 22 (NationPress) Babar Azam will not be participating in the remaining matches of the Big Bash League (BBL15) Finals Series as he is set to return to Pakistan to join his national team for preparations for upcoming international contests, announced the Sydney Sixers on Thursday.
The team confirmed that Daniel Hughes will take Babar's place in the lineup, stepping in as the opener.

This season, Babar has faced difficulties with his performance, accumulating only 202 runs over 11 games, with a concerning strike rate of 103.06.
Pakistan is set to kick off their campaign in the T20 World Cup on February 7 against the Netherlands. They will also engage in a three-match T20I series against Australia starting January 29 at home to gear up for the prestigious tournament.
