Named the Nari Shakti Vandan Abhiyan, this five-day campaign is set to take place statewide from April 16 to 20, with a strong emphasis on enhancing confidence, leadership skills, and awareness among female students.
As per the directive from Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma, the Additional Chief Secretary for Basic and Secondary Education, a range of activities will be executed in all council schools and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas during this initiative.
The primary goal of the campaign is to empower young girls at the grassroots level by fostering self-confidence, encouraging social participation, and instilling a sense of leadership from an early age.
The Nari Shakti Vandan Abhiyan will kick off on April 16, celebrated as Nari Shakti Vandan Diwas. On this inaugural day, parents of girl students who have achieved an attendance rate exceeding 70 percent will be recognized in all council schools.
In Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, female students and teachers will create a Nari Shakti Human Chain.
Additionally, special programs focusing on women's empowerment will be organized at the development block level.
On April 17, the spotlight will shift to physical and mental development. Activities such as yoga sessions, sports competitions, and discipline-based programs will be held.
Demonstrations for self-defense, part of the Rani Lakshmibai Self-Defense Training, will be conducted, along with drill performances by National Cadet Corps, Scout, and Guide girl students, showcasing discipline and courage.
Furthermore, cultural events including short plays, folk songs, and dances that celebrate the lives of prominent women will allow girls to showcase their talents and boost their confidence.
April 20 will be dedicated to creativity and intellectual expression. Competitions in essay writing, self-composed poetry, poster creation, rangoli, and mehendi will be held under the theme “Empowered Women, Prosperous India”.
A debate competition will also take place, discussing the effects of the Nari Shakti Vandan Conference on future generations and the critical role women play in shaping a developed India.
Through this diverse array of activities, the government aims to bolster leadership skills, self-expression, and a spirit of self-reliance among girl students. All schools have been instructed to ensure the campaign is implemented effectively and enthusiastically at every level.
This five-day Abhiyan is expected to raise considerable awareness and motivate thousands of girls throughout Uttar Pradesh to aspire for more and contribute positively to society.
