Bhopal, April 10 (NationPress) The state of Madhya Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, will celebrate a 'Nari Shakti Vandan' fortnight from April 10 to April 25. This initiative aims to promote awareness regarding the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, commonly referred to as the Women's Reservation Act.

This fortnight will also honor the leadership and contributions of women across various sectors. The government has instructed that this event be held as a significant public festival.

The campaign will kick off with conferences held at all divisional headquarters, where female public representatives and successful women entrepreneurs will be recognized and invited to share their stories.

The Department of Women and Child Development will coordinate 'Nari Shakti Padayatras' (women’s empowerment marches) in every Lok Sabha and Assembly constituency, encouraging participation from women from diverse backgrounds.

To engage the youth, a 'Nari Shakti Vandan Wall' will be established, allowing young individuals to voice their thoughts through art and messages.

On April 14, coinciding with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's birth anniversary, special Gram Sabhas will convene in all Gram Panchayats. These assemblies will focus on discussions regarding the Women's Reservation Act while paying tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Additionally, seminars and workshops will take place in Panchayats, urban local bodies, and educational institutions.

Women from Self-Help Groups and beneficiaries of programs like Lakhpati Didi and Ladli Behna will take an active role in these initiatives.

Schools, colleges, and universities will host lectures and competitions aimed at educating the younger generation about the significance of women's empowerment.

Public representatives are encouraged to participate proactively in all scheduled events, according to a government official.

Madhya Pradesh has seen remarkable advancements in women’s economic involvement. Recent statistics indicate that of the state’s 24.34 lakh Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, approximately 411,000, equating to 17 percent, are managed by women.

Under the Start-up Policy introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during last year’s Global Investors Summit, 3,476 out of 7,264 registered start-ups, which is 48 percent, are spearheaded by women entrepreneurs.

The Madhya Pradesh MSME Development Policy 2025 provides special incentives designed to foster women in business. Women investing in plant and machinery can receive a capital subsidy of up to 48 percent on investments not exceeding Rs 10 crore.

For women belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the subsidy can reach 50 percent, while it is 40 percent for those in the general category.

The Start-up Policy and Implementation Plan 2025 offers 18 percent financial assistance for women-led start-ups, with support of up to Rs 18 lakh per tranche and a total ceiling of Rs 72 lakh.

These initiatives showcase the Madhya Pradesh government's dedicated efforts toward empowering women and contributing to the vision of a self-sufficient India.

The upcoming Nari Shakti Vandan fortnight is anticipated to amplify public awareness and encourage increased participation of women in leadership positions across the state.
