New Delhi, April 15 (NationPress) BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal participated in the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Yatra’, joining numerous women who marched from the Town Hall in Chandni Chowk to the historic Red Fort.
This event precedes a Special Session of Parliament set to commence on April 16, where discussions are anticipated regarding amendments to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, 2023, and a proposed delimitation Bill aimed at ensuring one-third reservation for women in Parliament.
In a statement to IANS, Khandelwal remarked, “The strong turnout of women signifies Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to women empowerment, and in line with this, the Women’s Reservation Bill will be introduced in Parliament.”
He urged both Houses of Parliament to pass the Bill, stating, “This Nari Shakti Vandan Yatra showcases nationwide support for Prime Minister Modi to ensure the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill. The benefits of this Bill will extend beyond politics to economic, societal, and cultural realms, impacting various professions where women excel.”
