Bengaluru, Nov 11 (NationPress) Under the leadership of former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad, the Game Changers team has unveiled its candidates for the upcoming Karnataka State Cricket Association elections, set for November 30.

Cricket legends Anil Kumble and Javagal Srinath were present at the announcement, offering their unwavering support for Venkatesh Prasad's aspirations for Karnataka Cricket.

In discussing his motivation for entering the race, Venkatesh Prasad expressed the need to rebuild Karnataka cricket and restore its former prestige.

“We have united because we believe it is time to revitalize Karnataka cricket. Every cricketer from Karnataka stands with us in this mission. Our ambition is to reclaim the pride of Chinnaswamy Stadium, develop infrastructure throughout the state, and fortify the pathway for emerging players,” he stated.

Anil Kumble highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “What matters is that we’ve convened here for cricket. Kudos to Venky for kickstarting this process. We are here because we recognize that Karnataka cricket is in distress, and we are determined to effect change.”

Similarly, Javagal Srinath stressed the necessity for transformation and accountability within the association. “One term I’ve coined is the backseat driving syndrome, and it must end. When the KSCA upholds dignity and respect, there will be no need for anyone to manipulate from behind. The focus must shift back to cricket and those who genuinely serve the game with integrity.”

Also contesting are former Indian and Karnataka cricketer Sujith Somasundar for Vice-President, Vinay Mruthyunjaya for Secretary, A.V. Shashidhar for Joint-Secretary, and B.N. Madhukar for Treasurer.
