Director Mysskin's action thriller 'Train', featuring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role, has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U/A certificate, confirming the film is on course for its anticipated August 2025 release. Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu of V Creations shared the certification update on his social media timelines, posting simply: 'Train censored U/A.'

August Release Confirmed

Thanu had earlier signalled an August release window at the film's teaser launch event, where he told the audience, 'Let us do it this August.' The announcement visibly excited director Mysskin, who playfully pressed the producer for a specific date on stage.

In a moment of levity, Mysskin quipped, 'Oh my God, is that so sir? Please announce the date as well,' before cheekily pretending the producer had named August 14 as the release date — only to walk it back by noting that Suriya's film was already slated for that day. Thanu clarified, to the audience's amusement, that he had only committed to the month, not a specific date.

What the Teaser Revealed

The 43-second teaser released earlier generated significant buzz among fans and film enthusiasts. It depicts a speeding train commandeered by a group of dangerous individuals, with terrified passengers looking on as a lone figure — played by Vijay Sethupathi — confronts them. The train, portrayed as an unstoppable force, bypasses scheduled stations, and the identity and motive of the antagonists remain deliberately obscured — a hallmark of Mysskin's suspense-driven storytelling.
