Vijay has firmly stated that his party will not partner with either the ruling DMK or the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections.

According to insiders familiar with the situation, there is an increasing sense of optimism within the party that TVK might secure a common symbol.

The application submitted is currently being evaluated by the Election Commission of India. Members have provided all necessary information and numerical data in line with election regulations, bolstering their case despite being an unrecognized party.

It is also indicated that the Election Commission could render a decision even prior to the official announcement of the election timetable, which would allow TVK crucial time to foster voter recognition of its symbol.

This early clarity is regarded as a strategic edge, particularly for a party contesting independently for the first time in a high-stakes Assembly election.

Reports suggest that TVK has proposed ten preferred symbols to the Commission. Among these, symbols like the auto-rickshaw, cricket bat, and whistle have sparked considerable enthusiasm among party supporters. Cadres feel that any of these symbols, if granted, could resonate effectively with voters and help the party establish a unique visual identity on the ballot.
