“Transitioning from TV to movies brings its own hurdles,” Vishal, who began his acting career in 2013 with the lead role of Akbar in the series Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, shared with IANS.
“Nonetheless, I believe that if you possess the drive to achieve something remarkable, you will. I embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and committed my utmost to each project. This has become my Guru Mantra. Eventually, things align in the right way. Some paths we do not choose; they are chosen for us by a higher power,” he elaborated.
With a thriving career in Hindi cinema, which often requires extensive hours, how does Vishal find time for his family?
“Maintaining a close connection with family is essential. I stay in touch via phone, even when I’m out. This keeps me feeling close to them despite distance,” he explained.
Vishal continued, “When I am at home, I prioritize spending quality time with my family.”
He commenced his acting journey in 2013 with a leading role in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. In 2015, he portrayed Bali in Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, and the following year, he played a significant role as a terrorist in Diya Aur Baati Hum.
His Hindi film debut came as a villain in the 2019 movie Mardaani 2, featuring Rani Mukerji.
His most recent project is Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan.
This film, produced by Dharma Productions, tells the story of two childhood friends from a small village in North India who aspire to be police officers, seeking the respect they lacked. However, as they inch closer to their dreams, the pressure and challenges threaten their friendship. The cast includes Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa.
The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, receiving a standing ovation lasting nine minutes after the screening.
