Mumbai, April 16 (NationPress) Actor Vishal Jethwa has recently revealed a striking image of his hands covered in blisters, showcasing his commitment to an intense workout routine as he gears up for his next film.
In his post, Vishal noted: “105 pull-ups. No shortcuts. 40 weighted (10kg), 60 bodyweight, and 5 just to wake up.”
This rigorous training is in preparation for a role that requires exceptional physical fitness.
Discussing his workout approach, Vishal commented, “I’m concentrating on a blend of bodyweight exercises and strength training to enhance my overall fitness and endurance.”
He further elaborated, “The goal is to maintain consistency, gradually increase my strength, and push my limits daily while ensuring that my training remains disciplined and structured.”
A source close to Vishal shared, “He has been dedicating a considerable amount of time in the gym alongside his trainer Nikesh. This transformation stems from intensive and consistent training over the last six weeks.”
“He has noticeably increased his muscle mass. This is part of his preparation for a demanding upcoming project that requires such high-intensity training,” the source added.
Vishal's latest release is “Homebound,” which, despite failing to secure an Oscar nomination in January, delves into the journey of two childhood friends, played by Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, as they strive to clear the national police exam.
Directed by the National Award-winning Neeraj Ghaywan, “Homebound” also stars Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor.
Vishal began his acting career in 2013 with the lead role of Akbar in “Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.” He portrayed Bali in “Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman” in 2015.
The actor later appeared in a significant role in the series “Diya Aur Baati Hum,” featuring Deepika Singh. He was subsequently cast as Nasir in “Peshwa Bajirao.” In August 2017, he succeeded actor Bhavesh Balchandani to take on the role of Krishna in “Chakradhari Ajay Krishna.” He also made appearances in “Thapki Pyar Ki” as Prince and in “Ghatotkacha.”
