Lucknow, Feb 11 (NationPress) The government led by Yogi Adityanath is preparing to unveil its 10th Budget in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Wednesday, marking the final comprehensive Budget of the BJP's second term.
The proposed Budget amounts to Rs 9.5 lakh crore, which is a significant increase compared to previous budgets.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that this Budget aims to establish a new direction and a clear policy framework to fulfill the aspirations of a self-reliant and developed Uttar Pradesh.
On social media platform X, CM Yogi remarked, "Under the esteemed leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 'New Uttar Pradesh' is steadily progressing towards becoming a robust, self-sufficient, and prosperous state through good governance, inclusive development, and public welfare initiatives."
He further stated, "The Budget presented today for the fiscal year 2026-27 will introduce new strategies, invigorate efforts, and provide a definitive action plan for realizing the objectives of a self-reliant and developed Uttar Pradesh."
Additionally, the Chief Minister asserted that this Budget will drive the state toward achieving the ambitious goal of a $1 trillion economy.
"With a focus on the dignity of the underprivileged, the self-esteem of the youth, the empowerment of women, and the prosperity of farmers, this Budget will lay a solid foundation for the vision of 'Developed India 2047' and the bright future of 'New Uttar Pradesh,'" he added.
The final proposal will be confirmed following a Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, after which Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will present the Budget in the Assembly at 11 a.m.
According to government sources, this Budget places a strong emphasis on agriculture, education, health, and infrastructure. Furthermore, it prioritizes job creation, industrial investment, and the empowerment of women and youth.
The Budget is expected to allocate adequate resources to ensure balanced growth in Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, and other less developed areas, addressing regional disparities.
In terms of social welfare, an increase in funding for old-age pensions, support for destitute women, and assistance for the disabled is anticipated.
