New Delhi, Dec 10 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, shared insights on the promising prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) during a meeting with Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s Chairman and CEO. This conversation took place as Microsoft revealed plans for a significant $17.5 billion investment in India aimed at enhancing AI integration over the next four years.

“It is always insightful to engage with @satyanadella and absorb his perspectives on technological advancements. We are eager to strengthen our partnership as the realms of the physical and digital converge in the AI era,” Gautam Adani stated in a post on X.

He further noted, “Receiving a demonstration of the AI applications he is developing himself was an illustration of the proactive leadership that exceptional leaders embody.”

On Tuesday, Nadella met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who expressed optimism that the nation's youth would seize the opportunity to innovate and utilize AI technology for global betterment.

“Thank you, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for an enlightening dialogue on India's AI potential. To aid the country’s aspirations, Microsoft is pledging US$17.5 billion — our most substantial investment in Asia — to cultivate the infrastructure, skills, and sovereignty essential for an AI-driven future in India,” Nadella remarked in a post on X.

In response, PM Modi commented: “When it comes to AI, the world is optimistic about India!”

“I had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Satya Nadella. It’s gratifying to witness India being chosen for Microsoft’s largest investment in Asia. Our youth will harness this chance to innovate and utilize AI for a sustainable future,” the Prime Minister conveyed.

Microsoft emphasized that India is at a crucial juncture in its AI trajectory, marked by significant impact and a commitment to leadership. As technology becomes a driving force for inclusive growth and economic reform, India is emerging as a leading nation in AI. Nadella is currently on an AI tour across the country.
