New Delhi, Jan 23 (NationPress) India is on the verge of experiencing a significant transformation in its technological framework this year, propelled by breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI (GenAI), according to a report released on Thursday.
The Indian organizations are swiftly embracing AI technologies across critical sectors including automation, cybersecurity, robotics, and supply chain management, as highlighted in the Capgemini Research Institute report.
Nearly 80 percent of the surveyed Indian organizations intend to commence proof-of-concepts (PoCs) or fully integrate AI agents by 2025.
Furthermore, 36 percent of Indian organizations plan to implement AI agents partially in targeted areas, as per the report.
The excitement surrounding AI is also reflected among Indian venture capitalists (VCs) and executives, with 85 percent of VCs and 70 percent of business leaders believing that AI agents will significantly reshape the AI and data landscape by 2025.
Generative AI is anticipated to create substantial impacts in the realm of cybersecurity. The report indicates that approximately 63 percent of surveyed Indian organizations expect GenAI to facilitate quicker threat identification.
Particularly optimistic are the retail and telecom sectors, with 92 percent and 91 percent of executives, respectively, identifying GenAI as among the top three cybersecurity trends for 2025, according to the report.
Over 70 percent of Indian companies are projected to incorporate AI and GenAI into their cybersecurity strategies in the upcoming year, as per the report.
The deployment of AI-driven robots represents another major trend noted in the report. More than 50 percent of organizations in India are expected to utilize AI-powered robots by 2025, with 45 percent intending to apply these technologies in specific operational segments.
This increase in robotic automation is predicted to transform industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare.
India is also advancing in enhancing its supply chains through AI-driven innovations. Over 75 percent of Indian organizations are currently at the PoC stage for adopting next-generation supply chains, although many are initiating with limited use cases.
