The airline has implemented several measures, including CAT III B crew rostering, deploying CAT III B-certified aircraft, ensuring airport readiness across its network, providing tech-enabled passenger support, and maintaining proactive communications.
The CAT III B crew rostering and certified aircraft signify that specifically trained and certified flight crews will be assigned, alongside aircraft capable of landing in low visibility conditions.
Additionally, Air India has launched its ‘Fog Care’ initiative to assist passengers in case of delays or schedule modifications caused by unforeseen circumstances, according to a company release.
