Airtel Broadband Users in Noida Encounter Severe Service Disruptions
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi/Noida, March 24 (NationPress) Customers of Airtel broadband in specific sectors of Noida are experiencing severe and frequent outages, lasting between 6 to 7 hours each day for over a month, with the company not providing any solutions.
Residents in Noida’s Sector 143 have reported that these Airtel broadband outages have become so common in recent weeks that many are considering switching to alternative internet service providers.
“Our experience with the Airtel network has been extremely frustrating since February began. The internet disconnects for 5-6 hours regularly, and we are left without relief from these prolonged outages,” shared Deb, a resident of the Gulshan Ikebana society in Sector 143.
This week, Airtel broadband services encountered consecutive days of significant outages on Monday and Tuesday.
Locals suggest that ongoing sewer construction work by the Noida Authority nearby is causing frequent disruptions, as their JCB crane continually hits the Airtel cables, leading to internet failures.
When contacted, neither Airtel nor the Noida Authority provided a response to inquiries from IANS.
Rashmi, who works from home in a nearby society, mentioned that the recurring outages have severely impacted her workflow, as she relies entirely on the Wi-Fi service.
“This situation never occurred in the past; Airtel was once a dependable service. These outages have disrupted my entire daily schedule, and I am left with no choice but to consider switching to Reliance Jio,” she remarked.
“Why can’t Airtel representatives engage with the Noida Authority to thoroughly discuss and resolve this issue, ensuring continuous service for its clients?” she expressed her concerns.
In a related incident, Airtel users in Delhi and nearby regions faced a significant outage last year, with many reporting an inability to make calls, send messages, or access the internet. Some users also mentioned complete signal loss.
The company managed to restore services eventually. “Our customers in the Delhi-NCR region have been experiencing some voice calling issues for the past hour,” stated a company representative. “A significant portion of the problem has already been rectified, and our engineers are diligently working to resolve the matter completely. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
