New Delhi, Oct 10 (NationPress) BMW Group India announced on Friday that it has achieved its highest-ever car sales during the first nine months of the year (January-September), with 11,978 cars and 3,976 motorcycles sold. The company reported a 13 percent year-on-year (YOY) increase in sales for this period and noted a remarkable 21 percent YOY growth in Q3 sales.
The month of September marked the best sales in that month ever for BMW India, attributed to the positive impacts of revised GST pricing and the heightened demand during the festive season.
Additionally, BMW Group India boasted the highest sales of luxury electric vehicles from January to September 2025, delivering a total of 2,509 electric BMWs and MINIs, demonstrating an impressive growth of over 246 percent YOY. The share of electric vehicles within total sales climbed to 21 percent.
The iX1 was the top-selling electric vehicle, while the flagship i7 secured the second place. BMW Group India revealed that it surpassed 5,000 electric vehicle deliveries by Q3 2025.
The current electric vehicle lineup features six cars and two scooters: BMW i7, iX, i5, i4, iX1 Long Wheelbase, MINI Countryman E, BMW CE 04, and BMW CE 02.
“The record sales in the first nine months and in Q3 demonstrate our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. Our robust product strategy, combined with excellent after-sales services, personalized brand experiences, and attractive financial offers, has significantly boosted demand,” commented BMW Group India President and CEO, Hardeep Singh Brar.
Brar emphasized that the long-term vision is to maximize the potential of the luxury car market and enhance market share while preserving the driving pleasure that the brand promises.
“Our order bank is strong, and we are optimistic about achieving record sales once more by year-end,” he concluded.
