New Delhi, Jan 7 (NationPress) In a landscape of growing disposable incomes within an aspirational nation, luxury automobile maker BMW Group India announced on Tuesday that it reached its highest-ever annual car deliveries last year, totaling 15,721 units with an impressive 11% growth.

Furthermore, BMW Group India surpassed 3,000 EV deliveries to date, marking a milestone as the first luxury car manufacturer in the nation to achieve this feat.

The company successfully delivered 15,721 vehicles (including both BMW and MINI brands) and 8,301 motorcycles (from BMW Motorrad) from January to December 2024.

According to the company statement, BMW sold 15,012 units while MINI accounted for 709 units.

During the last quarter of the previous year, the automaker recorded 4,958 units sold, achieving a 15% growth, alongside the highest sales for December at 2,244 units, an increase of 17%.

“By posting the highest-ever car sales in India, BMW Group India also surpassed the 15,000 car milestone. Our robust product offensive in the luxury car segment, along with new initiatives like Retail.NEXT and the expansion of tailored experiences and services for our clientele, has significantly contributed to this success,” said Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India.

BMW is notably leading across various segments in the Indian luxury car market, including sustainable electric mobility, Luxury Class, and the aspirational premium compact segment.

In 2024, the BMW X7 emerged once again as the highest-selling model in the Luxury Class. Since its introduction, over 5,000 units of the BMW X7 have been delivered across India.

BMW Group India has established itself as a premier choice for luxury electric vehicles as well.

In 2024, a total of 1,249 units of fully electric BMW and MINI vehicles were delivered, with the i7 being the top-selling EV in its category, accounting for 384 units sold.

BMW Motorrad delivered 8,301 motorcycles throughout 2024, achieving the highest annual sales of its completely built-up bike lineup with 1,041 units.

Since its inception in 2007, BMW India has established a manufacturing facility in Chennai, a parts warehouse in Pune, a training center in Gurgaon NCR, and is developing a dealer network across major metropolitan areas in the country.
