New Delhi, June 25 (NationPress) Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai, focusing on leveraging data analytics to enhance insights into the financial markets.
This collaboration aims to foster research, skill development, and the application of advanced technologies such as Machine Learning and econometrics within the domain of finance.
In comments regarding this partnership, CDSL’s Managing Director and CEO, Nehal Vora, emphasized that this collaboration demonstrates the organization's dedication to shaping the future of India’s financial framework.
“This MoU signifies our commitment to nurturing the upcoming generation of finance professionals, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to propel the nation's economic advancement,” Vora remarked.
He further stated that by merging CDSL’s extensive industry expertise with IIM Mumbai’s academic prowess, both institutions aim to fortify India’s economy.
“We are confident that our combined resources and IIM Mumbai's academic discipline will significantly contribute to the nation’s ongoing progress,” Vora noted.
Professor Manoj K Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, mentioned that this partnership would provide students with valuable real-world insights, ultimately aiding in the cultivation of a proficient talent pool for India’s expanding financial sector.
CDSL, recognized as Asia’s sole listed depository, will collaborate with IIM Mumbai on numerous projects, including research papers, case studies, internships, consulting, live projects, and expert sessions.
The objective is to derive insights into the financial sector while training future professionals with practical knowledge and analytical capabilities.
As part of the MoU, IIM Mumbai will contribute its academic and analytical skills to assist in risk management and strategic decision-making.
