New Delhi, April 18 (NationPress) The government-backed Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to work together on advanced technologies, digital transformation, and capacity building, as announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Saturday.
This collaboration will concentrate on the implementation of joint projects, consultancy services, and technical assistance, along with the creation of solutions in cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, 5G, and cloud computing.
Additionally, this partnership aims to facilitate the development of comprehensive solutions across various sectors while promoting technology transfer and commercialization of innovative products.
The agreement also highlights the importance of capacity building, workforce enhancement, and skill development initiatives to bolster technical expertise.
During the event, BECIL's Chairman and Managing Director, Cmde D.K. Murali (Retd), remarked that this collaboration will enhance the company's capabilities in advanced technologies and digital transformation.
By harnessing the complementary strengths of both organizations, the collaboration intends to provide impactful solutions and significantly contribute to India's digital expansion, he added.
This partnership is anticipated to foster innovation, speed up the adoption of advanced technologies, and assist in creating a robust, future-ready digital ecosystem, aligning with the government's vision of 'Digital India'.
The MoU was formally signed by BECIL Director (O&M) Capt (IN) Saurav Chauhan (Retd) and C-DAC Registrar Niranjan Vaishnav, in the presence of senior officials.
BECIL is a Mini-ratna Category-I public sector entity operating under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, specializing in providing consultancy services and turnkey solutions in the fields of broadcasting, information technology, and telecommunications.
Conversely, C-DAC is a research and development organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), focusing on advanced computing, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
