New Delhi, Jan 3 (NationPress) The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has declared a partnership with the Startup Policy Forum (SPF) to establish India as a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

SPF is a leading industry organization that represents India's top new-age companies.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DPIIT and SPF is designed to empower startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs to stimulate economic growth.

This MoU embodies a vision to integrate technology and innovation into India’s economic development, propelling the nation toward its aspirations for Bharat 2047.

“This strategic collaboration with SPF highlights DPIIT’s unwavering commitment to create a supportive environment where startups can flourish and significantly contribute to India’s goal of becoming a global innovation hub,” stated Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, Startup India.

“This partnership is a reflection of the shared vision between DPIIT and SPF to nurture a resilient and prosperous startup ecosystem. By encouraging impactful collaborations, we strive to place India prominently on the global innovation landscape and enable entrepreneurs to realize their full potential,” remarked Shweta Rajpal Kohli, President & CEO, Startup Policy Forum.

As part of the National Startup Week festivities, SPF will organize a flagship event called Startup Baithak from January 15-16 at Bharat Mandapam.

This event will act as a vibrant platform for fostering meaningful collaborations between DPIIT and SPF members, highlighting revolutionary innovations, and unveiling new initiatives.

Moreover, SPF will collaborate with DPIIT to curate specialized immersive programs, aimed at connecting global investors with India’s dynamic startup ecosystem.

“The collaboration intends to enhance innovation, promote technology adoption, and elevate manufacturing capabilities in India. By building partnerships among DPIIT and SPF members, this alliance aspires to showcase the Indian startup ecosystem on the global stage and develop connections with international stakeholders and ecosystem enablers,” expressed Dr. Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director, Startup India.
