Experts Predict AI Will Transform Revenue Generation and Business Processes by 2025

New Delhi, Dec 25 (NationPress) In 2025, enterprises are set to revolutionize business processes and value streams with the aid of AI agents, while also addressing practical and ethical considerations, as stated by industry experts. They noted that this year will mark the emergence of small language models, enhanced reasoning capabilities, and the realization of business value.

In the upcoming year, AI agents are expected to create new revenue streams and innovate business processes across various sectors, thereby enhancing profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

“Humans will increasingly adopt roles focused on establishing agentic teams, planning agentic workflows, and validating outputs produced by AI agents,” remarked Sandhya Arun, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro.

As per Mohammed Rafee Tarafdar, CTO of Infosys, many AI initiatives currently in progress will be scaled across enterprises by 2025, allowing businesses to start realizing measurable benefits in terms of cost reduction, growth, improved experiences, and risk mitigation.

“We are witnessing a surge in investments aimed at scaling inferencing, which enhances reasoning abilities and allows agentic systems to eliminate redundant tasks and re-engineer processes,” Tarafdar added.

As small language models become more specialized and capable of delivering superior accuracy at reduced costs, their adoption within enterprises is anticipated to accelerate.

Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India, expressed that driven by a robust enterprise sector, a dynamic creator community, and forthcoming technological advances, 2025 signifies a year of remarkable potential.

“We are dedicated to responsibly harnessing the potential of generative AI to empower both businesses and creators, thereby establishing new standards in personalized customer experiences and content creation while maintaining trust and transparency through our content authenticity initiatives,” she emphasized.

The concept of software-defined capabilities, which originated with cloud technology, has now expanded across various machines, including vehicles and robots.

“In 2025, software-defined machines will be enhanced by AI and ML, enabling them to make informed decisions. We can expect a rise in autonomous machines with over-the-air (OTA) updates,” Arun added.

Autonomous industrial robots are expected to proliferate, alongside the evolution of software-defined medical devices that will move towards autonomous preventive maintenance and self-healing with minimal human intervention and downtime.

Augmented analytics will provide citizen users with access to intelligent insights through ready-to-use data visualizations, facilitating quicker and more informed decision-making. Experts predict that data marketplaces will expand across sectors and industry ecosystems to unlock new revenue opportunities.
