Mumbai, Nov 3 (NationPress) The NSE International Exchange (NSEIX), a multi-asset trading platform, announced on Monday that its international Nifty futures offering, GIFT Nifty, achieved an unprecedented monthly turnover of $106.22 billion for October.
The volume of 2.11 million contracts traded during this month surpassed the previous record of $102.35 billion set in May 2025, according to reports from the exchange.
This achievement underscores the increasing global confidence in GIFT Nifty as a vital indicator of India’s economic narrative, as stated by the exchange. Since its full-scale launch on July 3, 2023, GIFT Nifty has processed over 52.77 million contracts and accumulated a total turnover of $2.40 trillion by October 2025.
Since the launch of GIFT Nifty, trading activity on NSEIX has seen remarkable growth.

Additionally, the exchange previously announced that GIFT Nifty reached a record open interest (OI) on October 24, 2025, with 4,10,100 contracts valued at $21.23 billion or Rs 1,86,226 crore.
NSEIX, situated in GIFT City, was established on June 5, 2017, and is recognized by the International Financial Services Centres Authority. It holds a market share exceeding 99.7 percent in the GIFT IFSC.
The exchange facilitates trading in Indian single stock derivatives, index derivatives, currency derivatives, depository receipts, and global stocks. It also offers an extensive array of primary market products, including equity share listings, SPACs, REITs, InvITs, depository receipts, debt securities, and ESG debt securities.
This October, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced a foreign currency settlement system in GIFT City to enhance international trade, investment, and simplify business operations.
